A Little About Me

Hi, my name is Becky. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Owner of RLB Counseling.

I am so glad you’re here.

I was raised in a small town and shaped by a strong sense of community. My life didn’t follow a traditional path and that nonlinear journey deeply shaped how I show up for others and continue to inform the way I support families today.

My career has included early childhood education, home-based parenting support, and family case management—all of which led me to pursue my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Most recently in my career I have spent time working in a mental health clinic and simultaneously providing therapy services in a school based setting. I strive to bring a practical, grounded approach to therapy, informed by years of working directly with families in their homes, schools, and communities.

Outside of work, I try to enjoy the simpler things in life- I value time with friends and family, a great home cooked meal, and walk with my dogs.

My Approach

I believe families deserve support that feels personal, flexible, and grounded in real-life experience.

My practice is rooted in the idea that real change doesn't require perfection—it simply begins with showing up, being seen, and finding tools that work in your world.

I meet families where they are (literally), offering practical, hands-on support for the hard parts of parenting, emotional growth, and daily life—not from a place of “fixing,” but from one of empowerment.

Whether you're navigating big emotions, stuck in survival mode, or simply trying to build more connection at home, I offer space for learning, experimenting, and trying again.

My services are about more than talk therapy—they’re active, personalized, and built to go where traditional therapy often can’t.

Why I Do This Work

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years doing home visits for families in many different roles—as an early childhood educator, a parenting coach, and a case manager.

I’ve seen firsthand how traditional therapy settings don’t always meet everyone’s needs. Real growth happens in everyday life—not just in sessions.

That’s why I offer flexible, in-the-moment support that meets you where you are—whether that’s at home, in the community, or in my office.

I started this practice because I believe all families deserve access to flexible, community-based care. Care that shows up in your home, with your child, on your terms. That’s what I offer—support you won’t find just anywhere.
